Is Hell Exothermic or Endothermic?

I 've run into the piece below some years ago, & I was really enjoying it when It resurfaced & I read it again... Different & Intresting
see if You can enjoy it! Stop here if you are intimidated by Thermo?!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dr. Schambaugh, of the University of Oklahoma School of Chemical Engineering, Final Exam question for May of 1997. Dr. Schambaugh is known for asking questions such as, "why do airplanes fly?" on his final exams. His one and only final exam question in May 1997 for his Momentum, Heat and Mass Transfer II class was: "Is hell exothermic or endothermic? Support your answer with proof."

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following:

"First, We postulate that if souls exist, then they must have some mass. If they do, then a mole of souls can also have a mass. So, at what rate are souls moving into hell and at what rate are souls leaving? I think we can safely assume that once a soul gets to hell, it will not leave.

Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for souls entering hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, then you will go to hell. Since there are more than one of these religions and people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all people and souls go to hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in hell to increase exponentially.

Now, we look at the rate of change in volume in hell. Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in hell to stay the same, the ratio of the mass of souls and volume needs to stay constant. Two options exist:

If hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter hell, then the temperature and pressure in hell will increase until all hell breaks loose.
If hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until hell freezes over.
So which is it? If we accept the quote given to me by Theresa Manyan during Freshman year, "that it will be a cold night in hell before I sleep with you" and take into account the fact that I still have NOT succeeded in having sexual relations with her, then Option 2 cannot be true...Thus, hell is exothermic."

The student, Tim Graham, got the only A.

Complication:
Some religions state that all "Rightious" people, "Regardless" of their religion, then they will NOT go to hell. NOW WHAT??

Fortune Reading: Waz up in the Cup?

Much I enjoy scanning the coffee ground leaves on the sides of the white china after sipping the good Aroma of a an Arabic / Turkish coffee. The Amazing shapes, creatures, signs, pass ways, banners, rivers, waterfalls, flowers, roses, beautiful women, Horsemen, Lucy in the sky with Diamonds, spaceships, and Aliens all are indeed amazing trans experience that I often find my self pondering in the cup tiny space trying to make sense out of my perception. I 've developed the habit over the years. Off course I started whispering to my self & the "Waz Up" in the Cup?"

I became very good @ that, & I’ve friends that insist, every once in a while to tell them What in their cup. I tell them What I see in a very mysterious, in a very abstract way. I see & That's All I do. I do not mean & do effort to be mysterious or abstract, but that’s how & What I see. I leave the thinking part for them. I would not dare to initiate their thinking . Only when they ask for help, that I involve my self in the discussion.

It's often very confusing to them, but the strange thing is that they ask me again to tell them what I see. I usually come up with very short statement and sentences that are very powerful and loaded with meanings. At times I just say "There is nothing" or that "I see nothing" "only a lot of Noise" and I 've nothing to say. And that infuriate folks who wanted to know...

I just love the rituals of making the coffee , sipping it, looking at, space walking among the images of the coffee grounds, and of course the pondering part.

Off course I loved it & felt much better when I found out about : "Diwan Khaya~alat Fingan Al Kahwa" to the accomplished Egyptian Artist Esmat Dawestashey, He painted more than 150 all inspired from the coffee cup.

The Whole ting is just the reflections on the perceptions of one’s thoughts & a lot of interesting “Static Round Movie”

The Embassy in the Building

El Sefara Fel Omara
(The Israeli) - The Embassy in the Building

Or

“Israeli Embassy is taking over my House” in Cairo.

I’ve seen the movie today. Labeled as a Comedy, some says it’s a come back for Adel Emam to the “Top”.

From the time I heard about the Movie, I questioned, was it about 10 or 15 years late? I guess. Better Late than Never. Or Better Never? Why Now?
What Happened to the “Yaqoobian Building”, Another Movie that was in the making and was supposed to show this summer?
Will get to these questions later …

The Plot is about an Egyptian Womanizer “Top Notch” Petroleum Engineer who works in the UAE (Adel): Sherif Khairy. He gets caught as he tries to sleep with his Boss’s wife. He is Fired and he goes back to Egypt after Twenty some years. During his stays in the Gulf Oil country, he bonds with a Palestinian youngster who wanted to go back to his homeland “Palestine”. The youngster (Eya~ad) often talk politics to Sherif who Knows almost nothing about ME or Palestine Politics. When Sherif arrives to his flat overlooking the Nile, he finds out that the Israeli Embassy is next door to his house. As he was chasing one of his ladies, he accidentally gets involved with “anti-normalization” with Israel politics. The Movie goes on with comic “Push & Pull” situations with the Egyptian authorities, the Israeli ambassador, and the Egyptian Society at large as he swings from a national hero to a despised traitor. Three & ½ stars and fun to watch.

Few things I’d like to add:

- It’s a sad reminder of people I know who really do NOT give a damn about this important subject. They are successful and educated folks. Very Very low sense of political Intelligence. Often opportunists and selfish.
- Adel Emam is back, flirting with the Egyptian authorities and the power establishment just before the election or (the bid for more 6 years). The Film makes the authorities (via it’s personal) looks a bit closer than it really is on this Subject of normalization of r ations with Israel.
- Metaphorically there were many nice touches in the film between the two extreme: A dying social left appeared like it was leading the anti normalization pack but still live the past time and smell bad, and a violent Islamic extremism who also wanna blow away the Israeli Embassy in Cairo, but fails. The rest of the society is either indulging in getting high, drunk, or chasing it’s selfish opportunistic direct benefits. The Womanizer, chasing his catches. The Lawyer chasing popularity and fame. A husband who is occupied by his family problems. An old friend chasing money businessing with the Israeli ambassador.
- The Security apparatus securing the Building almost absent during a national football game. Almost Typical of What goes on. Good Laughs are also extended when the authorities goes out of it’s ways to offer services repairing and cleaning up Sherif’s Flat.
- The ambassador pressure Sherif and force him to let the embassy use his reception area for the extra guests, they end up occupying the whole house, even his own Bedroom.
- When Sherif learns of the Death of his Palestinian friend youngster , He gets angry, Superficially flips, but the good sincere acting by Adel Emam makes up for it.
- Funny, but revealing is the position of Adel Emam, regarding Street Demonstrations in Egypt Nowadays as the film was almost provoking “Street Demos” but for a different subject & that is flirting.

Routine Pleasures

I really would like to write about my Routine Pleasures.

About how i've first learned It's importance and value. Actually it's been a while since I thought of My Routine Pleasures & that's bad. I mean I've not been practicing Routine Pleasures as often as I should.

It's a great idea if one could constantly discover the the things that pleases him/her and some how make it a part of his/her (daily/weekly/monthly/even annually)
life. I'm sure that this would improve the quality of the life we live.

Off course it does not have to be in a routine format, but the idea is to include it as part of your life so it won't be missed.

I 'll list some of the things that I would put on my list of "Routine Pleasures"

* Good Movies (& Good Discussion Afterward), at least once every 2 weeks.
* A good outing, ( like Camping out in the Desert) it's been ages since I camped out.
* Learning A new Language ( take Japanese on for example, but French 1st)
* Blogging could be in this list now, Need to organize a bit more.
* A good Frozen Sorber Natural Strawbery Fruit Bar, one of the finest things on life.
* Run a mile or 2 / a day, need to get back on shape , I did run & completed a marathon once when I was Younger. I need to do it again before I'm too old.

I owe the the discovery of "Routine Pleasures" to a documentary by Jean-Pierre Gorin where the principal subject is a group of model train enthusiasts who meet weekly at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Southern California: their miniature landscapes preserve a lost, perhaps illusory America, and their obsession curiously entwines work and childhood. The Highlight here is enthusiasts.

When I'm Enthused is when I 'm passionatly happy & that's nice.
